DAY FIVE
Chateau de la Clapiere/Chateau de L'Aumerade, Provence
Up early for a big wine-day.
Breakfast with Monsieur Fab. His right hand man Romain then proceeded to take us on an extensive and detailed tour of the Chateau de la Clapiere grounds.
If you were a famous 3rd generation wine maker named Mr. Fab- what would you have in your Chateau?
Answer:
A. Amazingly restored house full of antiques
B. Seperate VIP guest chambres for Elton John.
Left Chateau de la Clapiere with Romain and headed to the Fabre family's largest and most well-known vineyard- Chateau de L'Aumerade.
Took an extenisve tour of the grounds and production facilities....
... and an extenive wine tasting afterwards...
Lunch at "Le Verger des Kouos" in Cuers- where we had the best meal of the trip (of not my best meal this year.....). yum.
